[Gau, wearing a torn and bloody yukata, is scrambling across the grass of his yard, falling and getting up again as he goes.

The screen catches him for a second at time, as his movements make it hard to keep a good view on him, the Hitomi being bounced around and nearly dropped and captured again in a blood-slick palm.

His other bloodied hand clutches his katana, the hilt of which, along with his forearm, is pressed over a bleeding stomach wound.]

... I need help...

[The coordinates are gasped out, desperately, and anyone who knows him can probably tell that it's the front of his house they're seeing in the background occasionally anyway.]

... I'm sorry, Yoite-chan.

[ I brought someone unsafe into our home. I was a bad protector for you. I didn't mean to hurt you this way.]

Raikou... san... if you...

[ Please take care of him.

His green eyes are way too close to the screen again, and then it goes black.]

(OOC note: Feel free to write reactions and responses of whatever type... and if your character would come running to Gau's aid, be aware that it's going to be assumed they're too late, unless they're already involved in the logs. They are welcome to walk in on the aftermath, though, and if there's interest for it, there can be a log for that.)

[Accidental Video] [1/2]
[Goddammit son of bitch.

Marco shouldn't be surprised, but he is. It's one thing to snatch someone from a village and then kill them out in the boonies, like Joker did to Rin, but to kill someone out in the open, in public in plain view?

And of course, Gau has to be the one person who needs help. The guy who got dumb enough to go on a stroll at night on top of a mountain. Seriously, after this, Marco has got to give this kid some private lessons on How To Use Common Sense. Surely this has all happened because he done something completely idiotic AND insane to boot!

Marco didn't reply, but in his haste of taking off his robes and shoes, he accidentally hit the video button. Here you see a young teenager with dark hair in a need of a good cut, with a look that looks constipated but those who know Marco can see it's an expression of aggravated concentration.]

[Accidental Video] [2/2]
[And that's when Marco started to morph.

His skin becomes green. His neck suddenly grows longer, taller as a beak forms out of his lips. Darker green blades start to appear, as well as on his wrist and elbows. The video jolts and he's suddenly moving in big leaps, out in the open where people are scattering, screaming as a twisting, turning green-child is becoming some out of a horror story. He doesn't care what is going on - he has to move in fast.

The transformation completed, a seven-foot tall Salad Shooter from Hell jumps to the top of his rather small house and starts leaping from rooftop to rooftop, like Spider-man, following the coordinates on the map. The alien head swings and looks down at the Hitomi, noticing its blinking red light. Marco snorts, and turns it off.]

[video] 1/2
[Off in her own room, Rin sees the post.

And is horrified. Gau has a penchant for getting into trouble, yes, he does, to the point that Rin is getting sort of used to it, but this? This is more than usual. More than a little. Someone bleeding like he is is always a cause for worry.

Feeling panic coming on, she yells at the screen.]

Gau? GAU! Are you okay? What's...

[But then, only when she's blurted out that nonsense, because obviously he's all but okay, and there's really no time for explanations, and -- anyway, a realization is setting in, and that is that he might not be in any condition to talk anymore.]

Oh my god, I -- I --

[action] 2/2
[But there's no time left for panicking, or crying, or anything -- she already hears the noise elsewhere in the house when Marco starts moving in his morph form.

She throws the Hitomi to the ground and runs to the general living area, then follows the noise outside.

When she finally gets there, Marco is already running away over the rooftops.]

[So she yells, even though it's futile, too, but she's too distraught to care. However, he is already far ahead of her, and she can only stand and stare, biting her lip.]

[... There is no mental reaction possible. Not thinking, only acting, and feeling his throat tighten.]

[Allen turns sharply to Lavi next to him, the two still on the outskirts of Himorogi.]

[A stricken expression; surely the redhead saw that as well, projected from Timcanpy as Allen had held in his palms the suddenly flailing creature that had interrupted them.]

I know him. We have to go-

[A quick glance down to the holster he knew the other Exorcist kept his hammer in, then back up as if to confirm. Faster that way. Had to hurry. He's sorry, you just came, but Gau? Attacked? Bleeding?]
Aug. 8th, 2010 10:27 am (UTC)
[Lavi's a bit surprised at Allen's sudden reaction, but of course Allen has gotten to know people here, not a surprise at all.

And... really, Allen? You're just going to rush there and just hope things work out?

...of course you are.

Then again, the trip there will give some time to think. Just... do try to think, Allen, really, there will be a little time. Please.]

Okay then.

[...he just got here and already...

Ah well.

He saw Allen's glance, of course, and thus takes out the hammer and activates it. And grips the rabbit a little tighter. ...why yes, he brought it along. Is there a problem with that?]

Just dun' get killed or somethin'.

[A slight, amused smile.]

[Allen blinks for a moment at that, but smiles dismissively as he takes hold of the end of the hammer.]

I won't.

[If the situation were different he might just give Lavi and odd/mildly what-the-hell-are-you-doing look at the rabbit, but it it barely registers in this context.

As it is, he points with his free hand towards Timcanpy who's started to loop higher up towards Hisato.]

Follow Tim. He knows the way.

[And there might be a few minutes before they arrive, but if anything that's enough to explain that it's Gau and who that is. Thinking about what Allen will do?

Well, he'll do that when he gets there.]

[You just always think things will work out fine, don't you, Allen? Didn't you learn from that last time--?

Well, whatever.

But if Allen says he won't die, he won't die, yes. So Lavi just grips the handle of Tettsei tightly and looks up at Tim.

...why does he have such a bad feeling then?]

[...he does this reluctantly, Allen, very reluctantly. It's just because... it's you.]

Aug. 7th, 2010 05:45 pm (UTC)

Are you all right? Where are you? I'll be right there!

[Amelia only kind of sort of recognized the location, but she was already dashing off, to do something. As if Amelia could find the location by force of will and the background, and would run through the streets until she found it or someone stopped her.]

[But she couldn't sit still when there was someone hurt... was it an assault? A robbery? Should she be chasing villains instead of trying to find the victim?]
Aug. 7th, 2010 09:46 pm (UTC)
[ Been a while since she's seen a man bleeding like this.

Last time, it was a bullet to the brain: a gun fired by someone else's hand, smell of gunpowder and smoke, a fractured cheek. A body in an office building, human lump carried away in a bag.

And the time before that -- second to last -- it was by her own hand. Different weapon, though.

She is not thinking of this. Not now. She is thinking of the boy who caused her nerves to tremble with the incessant tone of his voice, his enthusiasm (how many such boys had she known, befriended, or seen carried off in those sad, sad bags), his mention of sweater vests.

She can almost hear the siren. See the red light flashing outside the window.

Only here, in this world, there is only the black box.

She runs her fingers across it.

Prepares to go.

Though it may be too late.

It often, often is. ]

[Reaction / Attempted Audio]
[Jack stares at the screen like he does so often, but this time there's no slightest trace of amusement in his face. He looks positively shocked and carefully eyes the blood, the nature of the wound and narrows his eyes as he recognizes it as positively dangerous. Not much time left, especially if whoever did it is still after him. Poor guy.]

[No, he's not the kind to rush in for help, not at all, especially not for someone he barely knows. He's still concerned, though. Seems there are people or things that should be avoided.]

[And no, he has no idea it's the same person whom he has pissed off himself by stealing their shit. The guy in a red-black coat with silver hair, it was, but as Jack doesn't know it, he feels no danger whatsoever.]

[So he tries to connect, though he kind of expects Gau isn't going to answer. Just in case the murderer has the Hitomi now, he chooses not to show his faces and tries not to sound too characteristically. Not brave and proud of it~]

Ah, excuse me - but maybe you could tell us who did this?
Aug. 10th, 2010 09:19 pm (UTC)
[Sitting while pretending to be a door in the house of your most hated ally and your brainwashed best friend can get pretty boring after the first 24 hours, and that's really the only reason Kanda's actually paying attention to his Hitomi right now.]

[His blank look doesn't change the slightest, doesn't even twitch, as he watches the scene with the same expression he had when he was staring at the wall three hours ago.]

[Oh, so apparently there's someone capable of killing in this place. Well, doesn't matter. Not like they could do anything to him, after all. But now he's positively not moving away, at least until Lenalee is back to normal. Who knows what sort of crazy shitheads might wander around.]

[So he doesn't move a hair at the cry of help from some guy whom he thinks he's seen before, but of course he never bothered to memorize his name or anything. If somebody who owns a sword gets killed, it just means they suck at using it properly and therefore deserve no sympathy. He doesn't care if that thought is somewhat hypocritical, him being kind of unkillable and all. He just doesn't give a shit about this dead guy. Or, well, about to be dead anyway from the looks of it. Even if he did care, there are people like Beansprout who will obviously stupidly rush in to help so he wouldn't have to anyway. But he doesn't care. Just like that.]

[Many people die in war, so somebody else dying is none of his business. There's very few people who can be held as exceptions to that.]

[So as the feed cuts off, he simply pokes the Hitomi to try and get some different video on it. Next.]
