[Have a rather rumpled looking Gau, his tie askew and his vest wrinkled, more than a little bit of dirt clinging to him from a fall he's taken in the last few minutes. He's got one hand on the hilt of his sword, but he's also running, and he doesn't seem about to turn and fight any minute soon. A

The look on his face is more shock than fear, and there's a bit of laughter between pants.

He's trying to get words out, but it's hard to quite think of what to say, considering the situation.

So after a moment of this, he turns the Hitomi, panning it back over his shoulder.

Behind him, on top of the ruins of his tent, there's a giant rabbit. In fact, the rabbit is bigger than Gau himself, and the creature has PINK FUR. Apparently, while his first rabbit had been bland and boring and like any other bunny he'd ever seen in his life, the fact that he'd killed and eaten it had prompted the gods to make a stronger statement.

The giant bunny makes a little hop, scattering the ashes of what had been his campfire, and offscreen Gau's laughter can be heard again, obviously not scared as much as amused. The creature hops toward him, and there's a shudder of the camera as Gau himself is shaken, and then more laughter as he darts between trees.

Finally, the teen's face comes into view again.]

Might I suggest not killing your bunnies, folks? Apparently that wasn't 'free rabbit stew' after all...

... you tried to kill it.

You tried to kill a god-sent bunny.

[Siiigh as she's exasperated at your profound talent for getting in trouble.]

Well, I suppose a rabbit isn't as obvious as a unicorn.

Re: [voice]
[He responds as voice because hers was, though it's awkward and different for him.]

I didn't try to kill it. I did kill it. And made stew. But... it came back somehow.

[He blushes a little, but thankfully, she can't see it.]

And his fur didn't look this pink before I killed him, or I wouldn't have done it. Obviously. It just looked like a bunny!

Your first response to a random bunny bouncing up to you is "stew"? Wow, harsh. Pretty tough.

Re: [voice]
[Gau shrugs his shoulders, frowns a little.]

People have to eat? I kill animals for food all the time, I don't really understand what is the difference.

[He looks away, slightly embarrassed, really.]

I grew up poor and hungry, okay?

[voice] 1/2

Well, yes.

[Awkward, awkward. Especially since Rin grew up rich.]

When you're hungry, you do eat anything you can find...

[voice] 2/2
-- but that isn't what I mean!

[Actually, it kinda is. But like she's going to admit that.]

I mean, animals like that don't just go up to you unless they're tamed, right? Wasn't that at all suspicious?

Re: [voice] 2/2
[Gau's voice comes out a little quiet, almost hushed.]

I thought... it was a gift. That's all.

Oh. Hm. Well.

[Still staring at the screen with disbelief plain on her face.]
