[It's not long after midnight yet, and already this day is just charming. Rin is not looking very good; she's been up since the ring of the Hitomi at midnight and is now sporting bags beneath her eyes. She doesn't look sleepy, though - the ring had her wide awake, anticipating whatever would come next. And she did see what came next. It's a flashback, a déjà-vu of sorts: the shadows that seem suddenly like something's living, something's creeping in there, and the water that has turned to blood. Rin knows not to drink that water.

It brings with it that eerie feeling of being brought fresh into this world and with little roots and foothold, of being more vulnerable. Rin knows it's just her emotions, knows that she's more intimate with this landscape now and can navigate through it, but she can't quite shake it, that sense of fragility.

At first, she waits. Waits and waits, hope that it may pass or turn out to be unreal sinking with every minute. Marco has come into her room and they have talked, and Rin has told him of her experiences with this. Over an hour later, she's starting to get thirsty. And that's when she knows she's got to do something.

She's been holding on to and staring at her Hitomi for the whole time, so it's like a thawing process when she goes through the motions that let her contact Iskierka, fingers shaking faintly.]

[private to Iskierka]

Iskierka, are you around? I hope you're doing okay!

Uhm... could you possible make your way to where I live? I could kinda... really use a hand here.

[private transmission end]

[Once done calling Iskierka, and damn near praying for her to arrive soon, she swiftly goes over to a public transmission. It's a video, because Rin thinks that if she's going to dispense advice, she might as well put her face to it. Even if it puts herself at risk; she has poweful allies this time around.]

Is this what the good lady meant by having a party? One hell of a party, that is.

Ha, ha.

[Her voice is saturated with sarcasm: this again, she can't help thinking, wincing at how jaded she's become. But she's glad for it, truly. At least she has an idea of what to do.]

You know, this is starting to look really... a lot like something I've seen before, here. The bloody water. And if it's that, I'd uhm, I'd just like to tell you [deep breath] it's not going to be pleasant. Last time we had bloody water, and this particular feeling of doom, hell pretty much did break loose.

But please remain calm! There should be some save havens. I think they were in some of the shrines. Been so long.

Just - please be careful. Be mindful of everything, and try to find somewhere safe. Maybe the citizens actually know where to go - you'd have to ask them. They weren't here last time this happened.

Asano Rin, out.

(OOC: EDITED, because it was too early, and I also decided to tone things down a bit. Sorry for the inconvenience! OH and, OOCly, take any advice Rin might dispense with a grain of salt. She's going off what she's experienced before here.)

[Iskierka was not one who liked to be disturbed from her sleep. Friend or not, she would have ignored Rin's request until a more reasonable hour, if nor for the tone Rin had when sending her the message. Humans were not as crafty at hiding their emotions as they thought, and Iskierka could tell that something important was on her mind. The second transmission mere minutes later pretty much confirmed that as well.

However, odds are that Rin didn't mean for such a literal interpretation of 'make your way to where I live.'

Not long after the transmission, Iskierka quietly flew over the city of Hisato. Her wings kicked up a bit of wind, and her shadow looked imposing, but it was more likely that everyone awake at this hour would mistake it for the other eerie signs that were showing up. Soon she landed outside of Rin's home, carefully placing her feet and tail in such a way that she didn't accidentally destroy anything.

She was there, but how did she get Rin's attention? Knocking was something she had seen humans do before, but knocking wasn't the easiest thing to do when your hand was the size of an entire room of a house. So she reached with a claw and tapped it carefully against the door, mimicking a knock.]

[Which sounds like somebody is using a hammer to knock the door off its hinges. Marco looked at the door warily and slowly gets up and walked over it. He creaked the door open just slightly - and sees a giant red foot with claws. He then decides to look up and see a massive chest, a long neck and a draconic muzzle that he has definately seen on the network. He did talked to her about the Hork-Bajir, after all.]

Oh. Hi.

[He opens the door.]

Need something?

[As though it's perfectly normal to have a giant dragon in your front yard with normal chatter.]

[Rin's been howering around, too, waiting for Iskierka to arrive, and she's not sure if she's surprised her call was answered so quickly. Relieved, for sure.

So she walks up to the door, which she sees has been opened by Marco. Smiling tentatively, she walks up to him.]

Marco! I asked her to come.

[Gently, she puts herself into the doorframe with him.]

Hello. Thanks for coming.

You mean the shrill cries from this thing are something to worry about?

[He's not that stupid. He feels a bit on edge since it rang, but, you know, there's always something to be said about someone calm in this situation. He actually admires that, Rin.]

[She's not really all that calm, but she seems to be pretty good at faking it. It surprises herself.]

The cries, the people fleeing, the bloody water? Yeah, I'd think that's a little worrisome.

Can't say I've been here long enough to determine what's normal and what's not.

Well, Asano Rin, mind telling me just what happened the last time?

... perhaps you should have withheld your transmission until you were certain.

[He has people he doesn't want to worry here, reckless girl.]

[Recognizes that voice, after a few beats. They haven't spoken in quite a while, but yes, she remembers. Not that favorably.]

You mean, until someone might already have run headlong into trouble? Yeah, right, totally doing that.

You'd rather cause a panic, unnecessary fear.

Allow those who assess the situation properly handle such things. Stay out of the way. [He's saying it for her own good. Honestly.]

Ya gotta be kiddin' me. We have ta go through this shit again?

[Oh hi, Renji. Long time no talk.]

I really don't like it, either, but... it's suspicious, no?

[Jessica looks alarmed now.]

Are you really saying this happened before?

So that's what she meant by. About food.
Oct. 31st, 2010 09:43 pm (UTC)
[Oh dear. Please don't panic, please don't panic, Rin thinks. Panicking isn't good for anyone and besides, it would make Byakuya right.]

Ah, well - I can't be sure, of course! It's too early to really tell, but... it just looks a lot like something I've been through, yeah.

About... ?

- oh. Oh. Hahah. Yeah, I guess that might be it.

[In Yomisato, Matt hasn't noticed anything too weird yet, except the Hitomi going off, to which he barely woke, groaned in annoyance, and rolled back over, figuring if they were getting hit with another influx of newbies, he'd damn well deal with it in the morning.

Rin's broadcast wakes him fully, though.]

Um. Can you expand on how hell broke loose?
Nov. 7th, 2010 06:01 pm (UTC)
Monsters, hallucination, people dying.

You hear people screaming out there? Personally, I'd think that's a warning sign.
