[Week 5, Day 6] Video - Yagami Light

[When the screen turns on, there's a charming young man sitting in front of the hitomi. His hair is brushed neatly about his eyes, and both are a subtle, warm brown. Beside him are a collection of food items - most notably a freshly baked treacle sponge cake. Besides this treat there's a pitcher, several eggs, apples, a collection of edible nuts and buries of various shapes and sizes, plums, a ceramic pot with a line of honey dripping down the side of it and a single silver fish, about ten inches long and freshly caught. ]

I don't think I need to tell any of you how important it is to manage your diet carefully in a strange environment. If you get ill, then there's nobody around to help you but yourselves

We're doing quite well here. With three people working we've managed to create a small herd of goats, and a good flock of chicken-like birds from the local forest. But as easy as it'd be to survive like this, there's still things we need.

Consider this an offer for trade, and to get to know your neighbours. We have milk, honey and eggs, and we've managed to make a few things by combining them with the fruit and nuts that are seasonal at the moment. What we need right now is vegetables, salt, tea, and medicine -- most specifically, some kind of salve for burns. If you have anything in excess to trade -- maybe some meat you aren't using that'll go bad if it isn't -- then please consider trading it rather than leaving it to waste.

We all need to use our skills to help each other here. This my offer of friendship.

To Raito-san,

The offer is noted. I have no returning offer to make at present, but I will keep it in mind.

You should know that there's an extended offer to stay with us if you ever need to. Kusasato is a very good place to hide, and we'd welcome you openly.

[Gee, thanks.]

To Raito-san,

thank you for that offer, as well. I'll keep it in mind, even if I presently have no need for it.
